Through the original wave of Covid-19 cases and as variants rise throughout the year, we know staying at home can be difficult. However, we found some ways to connect with the outside world and your family and friends, all virtually.
Virtual/Anytime Events
There are a surprising number of options for virtual events that will remind you of everyday life! We’ve included links below to several fun activities that will have you seeing spaces that, in the past, you may have had to travel to!

How to keep interacting with your elders
Here are some other ways to keep life as ‘normal’ as it was before.
- Schedule virtual family visits (facetime, skype, zoom)
- Limit in-person visits to adults only
- Check-in on older adults and ask what you can do for them (run errands, give them calls)
- Encourage watching more than news on TV (recommend a movie or alternate choice and ask about it later)
- Set up book clubs or discussion groups to stay connected
- Send a care package, write a letter, make a craft
Other Ideas
- Watch movies/series/TV shows you’ve been meaning to watch on Netflix/Hulu/Prime
- Listen to a new Podcast on Spotify
