Life doesn’t stop during a pandemic. Here are a few ways for events that require tradesmen to work in the home to occur in a way that keeps everyone a little safer.
- Find a tradesmen that you wish to complete your task
- Obtain their contact information
- Message/call the tradesman to talk about task- ask about conducting a consultation online
- If possible have the consultation over Facetime/Skype/zoom or send pictures instead of an in person consultation
- See if you can pay digitally either through an agency or an alternate paying method such as Venmo or Paypal to prevent direct contact
- Before the tradesmen arrives, see if you can walk them through the house to the site of the task over facetime/skype/zoom to prevent extra contact or interaction with other members in the house
- Ensure the tradesmean is following proper CDC guidelines prior to entering the house ex. Wearing a face cover. More info on CDC guidelines can be found at the link below.
- Be in an another part of the house or property while the task is being completed
Communicating needs or restrictions is the best way to ensure both you and the tradesmen leave the interaction safe and satisfied with the result.
